Top tips from our spa manger to keep you on track for your big day.
1. Healthy eating = healthy skin
Good skin starts from the inside so a foods rich in essential fatty acids and vitamin C is very important. Essential fatty acids can be found in avocados, salmon, flaxseed oil and sardines to name a few. Kiwi fruits, oranges, mandarins and grapefruit are a few examples of vitamin C sources. These will help to give the skin an extra boost for the wedding day and if incorporated with a hydrating booster facial, you have a recipe for gorgeous skin.
Not only is water fantastic for the skin, but it helps to eliminate toxins from the body, makes you more alert (perfect for juggling those wedding plans) and improves the hair and nails. And you can make drinking water interesting too like we do here at Moss. We infuse water with cucumber, mint and lemon to give it an extra freshness and taste.
3. Time for Zen
Planning a wedding can be very stressful. Making a conscious effort to practise meditation or mindfulness is very important to bring the body in harmony. Massages are fantastic to de-stress. Our team can help to relieve stress-related aches and knots and get the circulation going. As your circulation improves, more nutrients are delivers to your cells . At Moss we offer a variety of massages along with a spa immersion add on, which will be the ideal treat for that much needed me-time.
Remember to give your body a boost too as you get closer to the day. A full body exfoliation and wrap, will not only remove the excess dead skin, but it will promote cell renewal, circulation and the texture of the skin. It is a must, especially if you are going on a honeymoon/mini-moon, to not only be wedding ready, but also getaway ready! Consider our Pink Champagne and strawberries treatment as well as the mineral clay indulgence.
Top tip: exfoliation before tan application, will ensure a smoother and better rounded tan effect.
Remember your nails will be the centre of attention with the rings. Nothing shows of a gorgeous wedding band, like beautiful manicured nails. Also consider a bridal party nail session, where you can relax in our spa setting with spa cuisine and drinks (upon request) and have all your nails done at the same time.
